Expert Question:  If my great uncle marries a woman who already has a son to a different man, what relation am i to her son?

Expert Answer: While the courts would not back the official relationship (Canon or Civil law), you could probably refer to this person as your step-cousin, once-removed.  When your parent marries someone that has a child, they are your step-sister/brother.  When your uncle marries someone that has a child, they would therefore be your step-cousin.  Since your case is a great-uncle, you would be once removed from being the 1st step-cousin.
